About Us
Founded in 2018, we love creating styles inspired by nature and nostalgia. Headstrong is an expression of our creativity which was shaped by a childhood spent in close proximity to nature. There is a discernible thread of bohemia that runs through all our creations, the roots of which are also found in a childhood that involved moving to new towns and cities every other year thereby discovering and learning new things. It also gave us a nomadic spirit with a bohemian heart.
We love spring flowers, tropical plants, wild overgrown gardens, meandering rivers, old houses, Roman style porches, colours of the sky, grit of sand, smells and sounds of rain, sound of thunder, car trips, train travel, reading classics and history, dreaming during the day, summer evenings, winter afternoons, rounded pebbles, vintage stamps, dragonflies and caterpillars, picking vegetables, plucking litchis, touching grass and earth, proud hoopoes, moody music, archaeological sights, day trips and so much more. These things and experiences made us.
We yearn for all things familiar but crave newness , we are made of contrasts.
We love to create styles that our clients would want to wear time and again because of their thoughtful and endearing detailing and the use of high quality fabrics. We believe that sustainability and fashion can go together and are advocates of slow fashion. We are on a journey to be more sustainable each day. All our styles are individually made on order with attention to every small detail.
Our commitment to our core values of sustainability, respect for diversity and being inclusive has only deepened in these three years. We are very conscious of not over-creating, using fabrics that are natural and trying to stay on an earth-friendly path.
